Well, i did some browsing and he/she has quite the (negative) following from the online reptile community. I've read everything from rumors that he/she drowns them...to seeing the stupid graphs of random growth data and other randoms to justify the actions.

danceswithsavs and muffdaddy are two of a kind.
 
Dances with savs is crazy.
She put her monitors upside down in the bathtub as a "Taming" method.
Idiot.
 
I think I head something about that...ridiculous. My old sav would act just like that (well, except for all the goofy mouth-to-mouth etc) and I didn't have to half-drown him. Monitors are pretty intelligent, just seeing how they behave when I let them be monitors is more rewarding IMO.

Couldnt of said it better myself! :) If you give them time, they will accept you being a part of their everyday life, but people are so insistant on wanting to dog tame them and have them sit on their lap while they watch tv. Its just ridiculous.
 
Exactly. And the problem with these kooks and their videos is people see them and try to duplicate it, and it doesn't work 99% of the time. You can't "break" a monitor like a wild horse, either the monitor dies from stress or grows into a scared adult, and in my experience the fearful monitor is the one to worry about most of the time.
