I just picked up some baby pbass that look exactly like the OP's. Was sold to me as Kelberi Bahia. Kind of thinking these look more like Azuls or Temensis, possibly Pinima?ImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1428826567.734997.jpg

Could they be Xingu? At certain times, I see faint traces of thin vertical bars in between the three main bars.

hmm. interesting to see these in hawaii! good to know theres more than one batch out there so that we can see progression!

mine too show faint bars occasionally and that makes me think they might be hybrids with zullie in them...

i dont see xingu or pinima...kept alot of those from wigglers to adults and these are different. i see traits of zullie, orino and then them being seld as kelberi makes me think maybe kelrino? kelzul? zulrino? orrr.....

I guess we just gotta grow them out and see. I was told they come from a breeder over seas who does Xingu and Kelberi, so maybe Kelzings, lol! I've had mono/Ocell hybrids before, and these don't even come close to looking like them. And the price, could've bought a lot more than 5 "farmies".

Ah! Kelzing would be incredible and i could see that as a possibility with the smaller barring showing up on them...

Either way they are real stunners and im interested to see what they turn out to be!

mine are growing nicely!

and for the record lets not get confused..."Farmies" traditionally when talking about cichla means the nasty mud-blood mutts that cost $5 and look like "Mono Ocell Hybrids"
