Great thread thus far. My feeding schedule for my ray is as follows: 11AM-2 chopped up nightcrawlers, 3PM-generous portion of blackworms, 10PM-try shrimp + nightcrawlers.

also the water we use is just a few degrees colder then whats in the tank already and the ph only swings .2 each water change then it drops back down to normal
I was feeding twice a day in my old 180g but i had numerous water quality problems and ph crashes i added a kh buffering media to my sump on my new 350 uk gallon system and i feed well once a day and i change 1/3 weekly and havent seen the nitrates above 10ppm..
I have 3 rays very healthy 2 motoro 8" and a 13" orb and about 15 other fish in there cichlids, dat ,tig etc. One thing i do notice is they go mad at feeding as if they havent been fed in weeks..

I feed 3 small meals a day and am very careful to net out anything that doesn't get eaten. My motoro is still building up a healthy appetite. Give me a few weeks and I'll have him nice and fat. I'm beginning to think he needs a gf!
Rays that have visible pelvic bones are emaciated.
