Well, I have changed my mind from my previous thread, here is the plan.....

I'm setting up a 125 with Geo. Redheads and Geo. Altifrons 'Rio Tocantins'. I'm looking for something that stays near the middle and top portion of the tank. I DON"T WANT ANY FIN NIPPERS.

I want the tank to be mostly concentrated on my Geos but I would like to have a little something to occupy the top of the tank just to make everything a little more LIVELY!

Here are some I am considering(not all of them, just haven't narrowed it down yet)....

some type of Rainbow fish
Roseline sharks
Celestial Danios
Buenos Aires Tetra
Marble Hatchet

Please post your opinions and shoot me some suggestions.BTW, the fish listed above are just some I picked from NE Cichlids list that I thought may be a nice addition to my Geo tank.

:):popcorn::)

Bleeding heart tetras
Rotkiel Severum
Hatchets

i like marble hatchets for top dwellers. rainbows would looke good too :)

I wouldn't go with the Buenos Aires, since they tend to be nippy. I'd go with the roseline sharks which are very attractive fish

Your right, I should probably stay away from Tetras since most are nippers.

Anymore takers??? shoot me some more suggestions

Has anyone ever kept rainbow fish? Do they nip fins?

rainbows should be good, and they get big, so you don't have to worry about them getting eaten

Most rainbows have the potential of being a bit nippy too. I don't think you will have much of a problem though. I love the roselines (I have five). What about congo tetras, or rosy ornate tetras? I kept both with Geo. Altifrons a couple years back and had not problems. I found my Geo. Red Head was far more damaging to the altifrons than any other inhabitant.

even if rainbows get a little nippy, it shouldn't be to the extent of any damage to the geos...if it were some angels or something I'd be more cautious, but I've seen that done too
