Also FYI at the moment it is heavily decorated due to it looking so empty otherwise. I plan on slowly thinning it out as the fish grow.

PICTURES!! turtle will be fine among fast n fish with attitude. I have 2 convicts and 2 minnows living with my turtle. However Piranha with turtle might be a different story. Try not to leave one turtle in the tank otherwise the piranha might gang up on it. Also if any aggression on turtle move them immediately. If the turtle's foot is bitten off it would not be regrown.
I promise I will get pics as soon as I find the camera. Yes if I start noticing any problems they will be removed. Honestly I was more worried about the sake of my piranhas at first bc my turtles are extremely mean and eat anything. But as you said fast and mean fish they tend to shy from. If it moves too much for too long they quickly give up on it. Although I have seen them chase down lizards frogs and once a feeder mouse and eat them. Cool stuff.
