I was excited and thus rushed getting up one of my 125g tanks and didn't notice until everything was up and running that I should have cleaned the back glass on the outside. Since I can't physically move the tank (and it's against a wall) the only option to clean the glass is to get a step ladder and then try to find something that can hold a papertowel with some windex on it and try my best to get it clean.

Or...

I can put in an interior background. 3D backgrounds are rather expensive, and for this tank a plain black background actually looks rather nice. Was thinking black linoleum but did some Googling on that and it seems that linoleum could have chemicals that I don't want in my tank.

Anyone know of another option that's cheap and easy?

hdpe/ldpe sheet. fiberglass. They could be molded (and maybe painted)by you to create a 3D background or used plain. You would need weights to hold them down. You would need to work fiberglass or heat form the polyethylene to do this, which you may not want to do.
Some people carve styrofoam, paint it with watered down concrete, and then paint it the colors they want. If you don't cover it with concrete, some fish may bite chunks out of it. This makes a cheap, safe and easy alternative to the above options.
