Anyone having trouble with these guys at 2.5". I ordered a batch of 8 fish. 4 orinos, 4 intermedia. All the same size as i requested from Rapps. Four days after receiving them i lost one. Belly was full. Today another which was about 5 days later. All other fish check out fine. Wondering if these guys are just a ***** to raise. Water checks out fine.

Is the tank bare? Temps need to be 86-90 they establish their pecking order when first introduced, maybe one got lil too stressed in the process

Maybe do a prazi treatment just in case? PH shock? Raise temp to 88/89 degrees add salt.

If the intermedia are wild caught they ars prone to die and can be tought to raise. Alot of the bigger ones roght now are farm bred and more hardy. Keep temps high 80s 87 88 salt waterchanges bi weekly and your should be good. What are you feeding full belly amd floating could have been a case of bloat. I lost an orino to bloat at that size a few months ago because i over fed
