So i have a nice breeding colony of cichlids but I think some of them have an internal parasite. One of the fish recently died. I think it died of starvation, as it would put food in its mouth but would then always spit it out. It now looks like one of the other fish is starting to do it as well. Then one of my females spawned and is carrying fry in her mouth, but when i looked at her yesterday her anus or breeding tube area is all red and has a big red bump! It looks like little white worms might be coming out of it, but im not sure if they are worms or if its white just because the fish hasnt ate in a week because it has fry in its mouth. If it is an internal parasite, what exactly is it and what should i use to get rid of it!? The worms are white, not red. Also, when i treat the tank, will it kill the fry in her mouth?? i dont want to lose these babies!

The white worms may just be white stringy feces as a result of constipation -
