Ive had a royal pleco now for about 6 months, and im pretty sure he has parasites. Concave stomach desptie a very healthy appetite and a varied diet. His waste seems normal except it is very long and full of air bubble. Can anyone recomend a good line of treatment for him, without nuking the whole tank?

It sounds like an internal protozoal infection like hexamita, a food like the anti-parasite medicated food like the one made by Jungle, that contains metronidazole should clear it up, Gel-Tek ultra cure px is supposed to be pretty good as well but I have not personally used it.

Clout is a little hard core, I try to stay away from meds. Wondering if anyone had experience making a garlic mix for the plecos to eat? Garlic stinks up the water awful quickly, but I hear it works fairly well. Heres a picture of him.

Catfish, loaches, and knifefish tend to be very sensitive to Clout but tend to tolerate the Metronidazole and praziquantel mix used by Jungle.
