international

right guys , this is just a quick anouncment for now , and i will update as more details are known.

next year over the weekend of november 20,21,22 the I.G.L. , The S.G.C. , AND Snakeheadsuk are organising an international meeting , to take place in Meppel the netherlands. it would be a fantastic oppertunity to expand your knowladge of the species and meet like minded folk. those that know the i.g.l will know this meeting will be a must for any serious channa fan . program ect will be posted closer to the time. early estamates are € 33,-- per night, breakfast, lunch and diner included. so will not break the bank , it would be great to see some representation from anyone at M.F.K. . we will be taking deposits shortly so if any one is interested please give me a pm. and i will pm you back as soon as i know what deposits are needed. at the moment we have one car in the northeast of england with 2 spaces free. we are going to try and organise people into a car share if wanted to share fuel costs, if anyone is interested and can take a car also let me know and we can arrange people from the same area to share costs. anyone from the rest of europe that is interested in going cantact me and i can put up in touch with the relavent people that will take a deposit to secure your accomadation.

I live like 100km away from meppel,I wou'd love to come to the international snakehead meeting.
maybe when I discuss with my parents some people that come from far can sleep at my home.
i'f they want to.
 
the closest airport is Schiphol,the only Airport in Holland.
I don't now how many Kilometer it is exactly but lik 150/200km.
 
will keep all informed as more detail are known. will be nice to see you guys there , and the meeting should prove to be the highlight of the year for channaholics

miguel - will do mate . we have people going from all around the country so sure between us all we can arrange something.

we may have a possible car going from northern irland , so any irish wanting to go , please contact me and i can put you in touch with the relivant people once more details are known ,

obviously if we can get some car shares going its going to bring the traveling costs right down for all that are going

Very cool that this meeting is in The Netherlands. What is the reason it is taking place here?

Flemming has just promoted the meeting on the dutch stingray/predatory fish forum. Would be very cool to all meet each other :)
