Today I made a freaking mess duiring a water change.:swear::swear::swear: I was online browsing on Ebay and MFK while letting the 12g fill with a 1/2 hose from the tap. I had no clue that it was overfilling until I hear water dripping onto the floor. I over fill my 12g by 1-2gallons onto the floor. I spent the next 3 hours moping up the floor and running a hair dryer on high temp to dry the floor. I was so pissed and upset at myself. Hopefully, there is no damage from the water. The floor looks ok and doesn't appear to be warp. This was my first ever accident. Lesson learn here is NEVER EVER use the internet while filling a tank even if your tank is in the same room.:irked::nilly:

been there, only I had clean up help from my dogs. Apparently, they love the taste of fish water.

Was the floor hardwood?
Plywood and laminate tiles over it. I think it should be ok. I'll make the room hot to dry up the any moisture left behind.

It's happened to most of us at one point or another.

Box fans, nothing better than wind to dry up moisture. Yep happened to most of us, some us on more than
one occasion.:(

Its all good, before I had a python I was draining my 55g into a 5g bottle..

I was on the computer too.. and I didn't hear, I felt water on my feet lol Big mess.

I use a pump to get water from my trash can that is dedicated to curing water for a water change and once I wasn't paying attention and the hose slipped out of the tank and shot water everywhere.....

had this happen several times with bad results, I then decided to do a w/c the other day on my 125 and notice black at the bottom of my stand.:WHOA:

so drain 125g tank and 50 g sump take all outside, go back to stand flip on end and yep has to be thrown out, black mold all over the bottom.

I cut out the carpet replaced it with tile (basically extending my kitchen floor into the dining area.)

and now I have to put my 125g on my 100g's stand and use the 100g as a sump/tank.

all in all not fun. the stand had been in perfect condition when I got it.
