It really depends on where you get it.. you're in socal, so it's easy to find aro's for much cheaper.. Most of my friends there can get 'em $50 or less.. that's a Jardini that you'll find elsewhere for over $50.. so, I suggest you call a couple stores around So Cal.. you'll get a way better deal.
Unless you are ordering multiple fish, you are not going to get cheap enough to counter the shipping costs. For silvers and jars buy local. For blacks and lies you may be able to save enough, but most likely it's because of their lack of availablity.
if you are in socal, why bother to buying aro's fromt he internet. Every shop carry them around 30-50 depend on size. Internet is not alway cheaper because of shipping. Plus i rather see my fish before i buy it. Where in socal are you?
I am in the Laguna Niguel area. South orange County area. Can anyone recomend a shop with the best quality aro's that won't rip me off? I am willing to drive pretty a good distance for good fish.
Check out the phone book.. give a few closer stores a call.. if they have the type of arowana you want for $50(Jardini, around $30 or less for silvers) and under then, I'd say just stop by the closest shop and check 'em out before you make a drive.
Ok jar that are arounf 4-6 are normally in range of 35-60 depend on store, Silver has a cheaper price which is around 20-40 depend on size and quality. There alot of store just search google. Any store that has the fish you like and at a decent price than snatch it. Some store might be cheap but you won't feel the Jardini and some store might be expensive but you are in love at first site with the Jar. Just take your time and don't rush.
