Internet shopping for aro's?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
They usually come in more goldish colors.. and depending on how your tank is setup(background, gravel, etc.), the fish may develop colors from trying to blend in.. but Jars are usually sold around 4 - 5".. but a lot of orange, I've never seem many Jars with a lot of orange.. but they usually develop most of their color over time.

Good luck on your search, though...

Mine is painted blue and on pool filter stand. Which is normal color sand.

I heard black background will bring the best out of the aro's color. Many have heard that they change with their environment. I wish i can make my tank black but it a blue base paint background. It only a 55g so it ok. Need to update in another 6-8 month.

I notice when people have darker backgrounds/gravel, they get Jars like these.. although, I'm not sure if this one is totally from background/gravel combo.. it's real nice...

I think you should just look for a fish that has nice coloring already.. like, most in an LFS should be gold/silverish.. I would look for the best golden color you could find, plus try to look for nicer pearling/color in the tail and fins.. that'll give you better odds...

But a lot of fish will change colors depending on background.. darker, they will get darker.. lighter, they will get lighter.. I hear Azoo 9 in 1 Aro pellets help a bit with color as well, not sure if it's just for Asian Aros or not.. but I hear it works well with Jardinis as well..
