Yeah. I was content with my set ups...made a mistake and lost 14 fish. Now I'm back on the prowl looking for various species to get my fix ...insert evil laugh here..

Fish keeping is not the worst thing to have as a hobby. Better than video games, reality TV shows, motorsports, drinking to get drunk ect.

Its just getting excessive Im moving into a house because I currently have 5 tanks in a 1bdrm apt.

Eventually you might hit a peak. That isn't to say you will go down from there, become bored, etc, but you might finally reach a state of contentment eventually, where you love your current set-ups and you only are on the market for something really rare.

That's how it is for me, anyways.

2nd the above statement! Plus the hobby is good for the mind, better than booze, cards and hookers.

funny enough.. My fire eels where my turning point.. I got them.. then started worrying about their long-term care, more so then other fish I've had. Granted it hasn't stopped me from obtaining tank-mates for them.. but my focus seems to have shifted in the last 2 years since joining MFK and aquiring these fish.. I worry about how the long-term will evolve in keeping these guys happy and healthy. I have added and sold off some fish to focus more on what I want to keep.. and not just something cool to add. instead of buying fish at great deals.. I buy fish I want.

speaking of time to cull back abit to add some other fish I've been drooling over for a long time.

I'm an addict. I have been keeping fish for about 18 years.
Within the past 3 years or so, I have gotten more serious. Instead of having just one or 2 tanks (small ones liek 15 gallons), I now have i believe 10 tanks on the go. I am at a point where I am not allowed to really put anymore tanks in my apartment since there is over 200 gallons in there now,lol

Welcome to the fish addict club.

Meh, you could do a wall of 40breeders still. ;) JK, I'm in the market for a house I actually own, preferably with a basement, or just really solid flooring...

I keep 120 gallons in my parents family room and 30 in my own room. I've been trying to convince my parents to allow me to convert an 8x8x30 hot tub with broken heater into a fish pond... my dad likes the idea, but my mother said I have a problem. I mean honestly why the hell do we need a table in the living room when we can have a massive fish pond that with a little fixing could be held at a constant 82F degrees...

I have never understood why on earth you would drink Alcohol or use drugs except to get soused or stoned! I think that even fish enjoy "bonghits for breakfast!"
