Which fish do you think would be dominant solely based on intimidation?

Tank size = 240 g tank 8’x2’x2’
Divided in the middle by an acrylic divider so they see each other but no harm done physically

On the left side is an 11” male trimac

On the right side is an 12 ½” male Beani

It already happened so I know which fish is more dominant (with a divider). I actually had to move the other fish because the other one was so intimidated that it did not eat and stayed on the very far side of the tank. The flaring lasted for 3 days until one got scared.

well the beani has a slight size advantage but i would say trimac but im also a little bias. i never did really care that much for beani but always have liked trimacs.

They're both great looking Cichlids, but my vote goes to the Trimac. They're too much like Flowerhorns.

Beani by no means will back down or are pushovers but the sure size (thickness) and power of a trimac I think will ultimately win.

I never had a Beanie but from what I have read, they are one strong
contender. I have had a Trimac breeding pair before but the male was
no match for my Butterkofrie male who would beat the Trimac when he
felt like it. I do have to give the Trimacs credit thou because they keep on breeding.
This was in a 150 gal tank.
So my vote goes to the Beanie!!!!!!!(Intimidation only.....still Beanie);)
