Introducing A New Guy

Is there any particular way to introduce a new guy or should I just put him the tank?

Adn what are the chances that they will accept him? He is a new delhezi bichir. All three have only been together a couple months but still I want to make sure.

If he is big enough, just put him in.

shouldn't have any problems just putting it in. of course, acclimate it first if the water is different.

ok thanks, wasn't sure. I've hear a few horror stories about them not accepting new ones if they've been together awhile.

just be sure and watch them for any serious signs of agression and be ready to seperate them if needed-Anne

I never understood why fish get along if they are intorduced at the same time Like do they just think hey me and this guy where introduced at the same time so we can't fight... how do they remember?? somebody please clarifiy
moonchild I think that if there is alot of hiding places and a place to call their down they will be fine

Just remember to introduce them by name when they meet up at the party. Otherwise one of them might feel left out or feel that you were a bit rude not to introduce them first before they start sharing a bed together.

Can anyone say "Quarantine tank". Nothing ever, "EVER" goes into a tank with my established bichirs without being isolated for at least 30 days! Never trust the water they're shipped in or from the LFS.
