I agree with the night addition for tankmates. Mine is way to excited about food as well. I once rescued a fish from my sump, tossed it in the tank through the feeding hole without thinking about it. My Mbu instantly flew over and devoured it, the looked as if he knew he did something wrong. Just have to be careful.
