True except for these guys. The freezer is stocked solely for the plecos and eels. More squashes then the heart could desire for inbetween feedings!

I don't know about fully grown ones (don't they grow to just about 12"?), but young ones (about 2-3") sell for somewhere between $60-80. I wouldn't spend $500 for that. Why not look for a smaller one? Some LFS can order them for you.
