Hes about 2.5" long (body length) and quite fiesty... I've put him in with my Juvenile FMs for now till I sort out my stock. :)

I love the symmetry to the patterns on his flanks... hopefully he'll be a handsome fish when fully matured. How big do these guys grow, by the way?

Well heres a little update on the Green Terror... He's currently sharing with a few Festae of similar size which he keeps squaring up to... He got nasty with the Firemouths and this is the only tank he can settle in at the moment.

Hes currently 5" body length

This is absolutely a male from this more current picture. He is turning out to be a very beautiful fish indeed! :)

The sizes of Green Terrors vary considerably, but most males obtain lengths of about eight to ten inches in an aquarium setting. My Green Terror was nine and a half inches including the tail when I sold him. I would suspect he would become even larger because his growth did not seem to stop.

They won't redden. They get orange - but not red.

Actually the color can vary considerably, the gold saum Green Terror can display really orange coloring on the tail or really reddish coloring, but more oftentimes the coloring with be more of a blend of orangish-red. Another huge influence would be the type of lighting used for the aquarium. I won't go into specifics with the wavelengths or brands, but my Green Terrors coloring appeared really reddish with the a certain color spectrum of light, but when I used the standard fluorescent light , the tail actually appeared very orangish. So genetics are a large influence, and the environment is perhaps a larger influence regarding the how the person perceives the color of the tail edging.

Thanks guys...

This fella was stand out from the other GTs in the tank because he had the thickest edging on the caudal fin and longer rays on the dorsal and anal fins. The others all had rounder fins :)

Question is will the edges of the fins redden up in time?

The color should remain slightly more or less the same, unless you change the lighting in the aquarium. If you meant the thickness of the orangish-red band on the tail, it should thicken over time as the fish matures but this tends to vary between different male Green Terrors and even female Green Terrors, although male Green Terrors tend to possess much thicker orangish-red band colors compared to females. I hope this helps! :)
