Introducing Rays to Cichla tank

I find it better to do group introductions.. more new tank mates to focus on and spread the aggression.. also add the rays not after but during the water change since the p's are a bit tumbled and the territories are broken from the lack of water..

I thought about this too but thought that the added stress associated with water changes would be bad for the transition. I will try this for today's ray.

I notice cichla tend to be overly aggressive just for a couple hours of the introduction of anything new..... soon after they mellow out or the tables turn and the cichla need rescuing.

in my tank, whoever shows any weakness will get a beating. i had to remove runt after runt cuz of this.
