Introducing Shockwave!

So it's finally time to start a progression of my Blue Ape! I got him from Umbeeking when he was about .75". He's now about 3.5" (eyeballed). He's currently solo in a 46 gallon (36"x18" footprint). Noticed he was very dark over black sand, so I mixed in a little white, and he lightened up considerably. Ok, enough typing...here he is........

Out of curiosity how long did it take you to get him to grown up to that size since you got him?

I purchased him when Umbeeking first released his current batch... April-ish maybe, I'm not quite sure. He's growing quick for sure.

I'm working on patience, I tend to have fishkeeping ADD. LOL. He is becoming more personable every day, so that helps. I'm hoping he ends up looking half as good as his older brothers do. I'm going to do my part - guess we shall see!

Approx 4". He still hates the iPhone autofocus, but until I get a DSLR, he's gonna have to deal with it lol.

I love when ugly little grey fish under go metamorphosis and turn into living gems! This strain looks unlike the others even at such a small size
