Introducing wild caught Pbass into my tank?

Also make sure it's legal to catch and keep near you. I *think* this is kosher in FLA but I don't really know and I know it's not cool some places. So you might wanna check that out.
 
@MOUNT I'm pretty sure its legal to keep the butterfly pbass.

Yeah I also live in Miami and the FWC (Florida Wildlife Conservation) and they want people to get rid of all the cichlids, I have Mayans Midas oscars, managuense, pacu, and we have even seen clown knifes a few times
 
@MichaelR Yea, there are Midus everywhere where I fish too. Did see a huge clown knife once but failed to land that sucker. LoL A couple years back we had a huge pleco problem but havent really seen much since then.
 
I live in the wrong state. We pay here for what you can catch for free! I could see raising a wild caught oscar or managuense. I think it would be kind of cool. Free scavengers don't hurt either.

Yeah, it's an ocell. Florida bag limits for them are 2 a day, only 1 of which can be over 17".

Also may want to keep the lights down for a while, if they spook, they are going to be expecting to swim as far and fast as they want -- which won't agree with the tank glass or lid!
