Introduction/My Planted Tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Here's a few updated pics of my tank.

Started using dry ferts and co2 in addition to the root tabs I was using before. Starting to grow in pretty well, but it looks better in person. Need more practice shooting the tank and also need to pick up an external flash. So many hobbies, so little time (and money)!

What kind of Vals (the tall plant in the back)? What kind of Co2, presurized or DIY?
What kind of root tabs?

The tank looks good. The contortion vals should be brought out to be more of a focal point, rather than being hidden. The two rocks up front are very out of place with with rest of the tank. They are pulling your eyes away from the plants, and becoming a focal point. If you intend to plant the rocks, then they will be well used, but right now they are very distracting for my eye.

LFS had them listed as corkscrew vals. I think they're growing in twisted like contortion vals because of the space and growing around the driftwood.

Using pressurized co2 from a 20lb tank with a regulator on a timer.

Root tabs are from aquariumplants.com but I'm using them less frequently since I started with the dry ferts...

cool
