Many years ago I was an avid member of the forum that proceeded this one. It's been so long I don't even recall the forum name. Getting older I grew into other hobbies and less so into my aquariums. So I just wanted to say Hi and give a little background.

I use to manage a pet store/run the fish department. Over the years I have had the following species:

Red belly
Caribe
Ternetzi
Piraya
S. Marginatus
S. Irritans
Pygopristis Denticulatus (By mistake)
S. Rhombeus

However, I currently only have 1 adult Cairbe and I believe his days are numbered. He (or she) is around 12 years old and going through phases of not eating recently. He is the lone survivor of a power outage while I was on vacation just over 6 years ago. I lost 3 Caribe and my prized Piraya. Then about 3-4 years ago a faulty heater claimed the life of my 10-11" Black Piranha. After this happened I decided I would take his tank down and not replace him.

In the future I hope to have another shoal of pygos and another large rhom.

Hey man,

thats some impressive collection you had back then. got any pictures of them?

The pics of the Cairbe/Piraya are taken at different times. The caribe were around the size of the Piraya when I got him. They shoaled nicely.

I'm not to familiar with the different types of Rhoms, but I assume he was just your average Black Piranha.

thanks for sharing the pics, do you happen to have a better side profile shot of the rhom? from the two pics it looks like it has a big hump on the back kind of looks like a Vinny.

maybe a vinny hard to say, do you happen to know the correction point?
here's a pic of venezuela rhom from opefe.

but the hump doesn't look as pronounced as a classic vinny rhom from your pictures...so not too sure
