Hello and thank you all for this great forum.

I have had fresh and saltwater aquariums for several years now. I have trolled around this site and have always been amazed. I thought the size would make this aspect of the hobby prohibitive until I saw uarajoey's Youtube video on plywood tanks. I am hooked.

I started a 55 gallon tanks with live plants and a 7 inch silver arowana and I now building a 237 gallon plywood tank for that arowana and hopefully a pair of stingrays (I love those stingrays). I will need some help sourcing the stingrays.

Later today I will start a thread on the new build and get your input. I have to admit. This is a big project for me and I have never done something so big. I am currently trying to figure out the filtration. The tank is 5 ft x 3 ft. and 2 ft tall. It will sit on a four foot stand. I am going to use resin and gel coat for the interior. I have easy access to both and I am very comfortable using those products. I intend to go with a dark blue gelcoat and a black exterior (enamel paint).

Happy New Year!
