When I lived in Wisconsin, Asian brown gobies were taking over the near shore habitat of lake Michigan.

While Florida, Tilapia, oscars, and uropthalmus dominated the area waters from Sarasota south.


Here in Panama, Tilapia are everywhere.

And lakes such as Gatun, Arenosa and Bayano, the endemic cichlids have been usurped by invasive Cichla. Oscars, and of couse Tilapia.
I try to do my part, by eating them whenever I get the chance

I also thought it amusing when visiting Baltimore a couple years back, when I found Snake Head on a restaurant menu.
Of course I had to try it.
