So I've seen some invertebrates that have gotten my attention such as xl amnio shrimp, blue diamond shrimp, true freshwater Pom Pom crabs and bamboo shrimp and a thunderbolt crayfish that apparently is a lot more peaceful then the electric blue ones so my issue is do you think my eel and bgk and uaru and red heads and angel fish would make lunch of the blue diamond shrimp because they are about the size of cherry shrimp and the amnio shrimp are 3 inches and the bamboo shrimp are about 4 inches and the Pom Pom crabs get to be 5 inches with legs and the crayfish about 6 inches do you think they all would be lunch or one might work.

I thought about starting with the bamboo and xl amnio since they are a bit bigger and if they work try the crabs and blue diamond and if none of those work try the crayfish. Has anyone had any experience with these.

Cant speak about BGK but can guarantee your fire eel will eat the inverts... mine used to hunt any inverts that hit the water, and within a day or two 90% would be gone...

Next problem is amano shrimp do not breed in freshwater, they need brackish water during larval stage if i remember correctly...

As for the smaller shrimp, they will almost definitelt dissapeaer over time, and cray fish will be a gamble, since they do have claws they can fight back... the problem here though is they also molt, and during this time they are likely to fall prey to any predator looking for a meal..

Crabs may end up in a similar situation, if they are small enough to fit in the eels mouth...

The issue in your tank is the fire eel, with their flexible body they will eat any crab, crayfish during their molting phase, without the eel you can make a cave large enough for the crab/crayfish to hide during the molting phase then you are fine. Also, crayfish/crab do eat fish or whatever they can catch so your fishes have a great change become food when they are as sleep after light out.
