Inverts with Africans

Are there any inverts that can be kept with rift lake cichlids, mbuna, peacocks, haps? Are they snail eaters, or are there even any crabs or crayfish that could be kept with them?

Something like trumpet snails could fare well.
I tried a crayfish with my group of mbunas - it went well until it molted….after that lobster was on the menu.

Panther crabs and other similar crab species have supposedly fared well with rift lake cichlids, but I'm not altogether too sure whether it's good or safe to cohabitate the two.
