Invisible Sinkers

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I only use sinkers for catfishing. Tie on a weedless or wacky rigged weightless senko or gulp bait and say "come to papa". Happens all the time for the lmb.
Tie on a maribou jig or lead head with a curly tail and get stroked by the crappie and bluegill, it's all good (eatin').

Just last weekend I was at the St. Petersburg boatshow in FL and they were showcasing this product. I bought a few being skeptical, and after learning about the product I have a few complaints and I would like to hear anyone else's opinion.
They advertise "environmentally friendly" "you can drink from one in a glass" I did some research and they are being mass produced in China and contain up to 35% LEAD http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-lead-crystal.htm <-- a little about lead crystal
This company is false advertising and they better be careful because of all the bad news stories of lead coming from China.
Complaint number 2 - the one ounce sinker is the size of a 3 ounce sinker (extremely large) And when underwater they look like large jellyfish. So hopefully you won't get a sea turtle on the line! :D
Complaint 3 - On the most recent fishing trip with the sinkers, we had both lead sinkers and crystal lead and honestly there was no difference to the number of fish caught. I believe there were more bites using the lead.

All in all, I believe them to be less environmentally damaging than lead sinkers. However, they need to advertise their product differently, I will not not take my chances from drinking from a glass of these. Save your money and the environment.

I really do not think these will help u catch fish in anyway. I dont think fish are scared because of the weights. They are going to do the same job as any other.

Sounds like a cool gimmick for someone to get rich quick on.Good luck to him wish I thought of it.

Yea, You're right he might have a good profit if his website didn't look like it was made back in the 80's. He is in serious need of some graphic and web design skills.

This is stupid. Fish are not going to hit because of the sinker. The fish are so focused in on the bait they do not even care.

I'm with you man, Fish are fish. We all know it is a proven fact that they eat regardless of the sinker. You know how? because we have all caught fish using sinkers on our lines. If you still want an invisible sinker go to the craft store and buy glass beads and do not support this douche bag trying to scam people.

I have used the flattened glass beads from beaded door curtains, they look just like that. The reason I was using them is that I had a bag of them from a broken curtainset. Craft stores sell them bt the bag at maybe a penny each.
