Inwall 430gl Plywood Tank Build

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I also installed these supports for the glass to sit on,
i drilled one screw down in the top and sunk 1/2" deep and filled the hole with silicone, i also siliconed around the edges of the blocks, i am going to paint them black with the sweetwater stuff later today.

O btw, someone made a comment before about the sweetwater being resine with a tint in it, and it is nothing like fiberglass resin, it feels more like ruber to the touch or some kind of thick laytex paint or somthing, it is flexiable after it dries, well to a point anyways.. i had a good amount left in a 5gl bucket when i got done painting and i left it to dry, when i went to clean it the entire thing came out in one rubbery chunk.

Looks great still would worry about that stand

Great progress! Do you plan on coating the inside of the sump as well?

Ok, i got my two drains plumbed going to my wetdry, and to lines plumb that will be hooked to a return pump.
I took a few pics,, to show, the drains are 1" and i made it kinda like a through wall stockman pipe things, each drain has two inlets to help prevent clogging, on the other side of the take the bulkhead is hooked to a T, the top of the T i put a cap and drilled a hole threw it, so i can turn the cap to adjust the air intake into the pipe, therefor adjusting the noise level of the drain. I will have to take a picture of that as well.

ok, so i got 430gl's with two 1" drains,...
suggestions on a return pump? its got to pump about 6ft high.

I also want to put in a closed loop system but i wanted to hook it a fx5 for the pump... will have to see.. i want to order the pump! i need a few good suggestions. it needs to be quiet! and the less juice it uses the better..

You definitely should coat the inside of your sump. Galvanized/zinc coated metal will leach and your fish really won't like it.
