Do you get full coverage with these or does it leave you with dark spots? I have it fade into dark towards the end on mine as the bulb is only 5' but i quite like the effect.
Same here bro I like the look of the shade on the sides for them.
Watching cichla and fishing for them, I can say that they like their shade, and can often be found under the shade or over hanging trees on the canals I fish. I've taken this and decided that a fully light tank is to much light for them.
Another bonus is that their colors will change from an aray of different tones. And it saves me $$$ on the electric bill.

Update... Doing a 75% water change.
Got a few goods shots...
My cichla get so moody after a water change lol they start to display dominance with one another.
And in the 5th picture it shows my new FL Hybrid, with one that I previously had. This new one has a darker coloration which I like.
