No worries. Congo tetras are rather deep bodied so should be fine. Or perhaps some medium gourami species.

Once you get him into the bigger tank you can keep him with some cichlids and larger cats.

Hello I have a Senegal Bichir about 5 inches long in a 55g and I want to put a iridescent shark (hammerhead) I had my research and they almost have the same pH level and temperature can I keep them both together? I still have a baby bichir willing to upgrade a bigger tank soon ? thankyou

Don't worry about the Congo Tetra the Senegal will most likely ignore them if fed properly and they are high bodied fish so Senegal will have a very difficult time trying to eat one unless their tiny.
