Iridescent Shark

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Here's some pics of my small guys. The ID shark is around 8", and the Pangasius shark is around 6.5". The pic together Pangasius hypothalamus on top, and Pangasius pangasius on bottom. The pangasius sharks are catching up quickly.

No question that mine is an iridescent (hypothalamus). I bought her myself at petsmart when she was 1.5".

FYI - Mine has learned to eat large sinking catfish pellets and will gorge on them until her belly is huge!

That thing is awesome quit possibly the largest I've seen.

I have no opinion on what kind it is; however, stores label them as what the wholesaler tells them it is. It's not uncommon for them to sell a fish under the wrong name. Either way it's a nice fish.

They grow around 1 inch every month... you can keep one in a 10 gallon for a few months, then upgrade...

BTW those are nice ID's... I have 2 hypothalamus myself... and a 3 footer
