Iridescent sharks

I have 2 iridescent sharks in my 150 that are about 4 inches long, that I was planning on moving to my 1500 gallon indoor pond. However, my boys really want to get some motoro sting rays and I have an arowana that I will be moving into the pond. Can I house the iridescent sharks with the stingrays and arowana or is this just a recipe for disaster?

My plan for the 1500 is

1 silver arrowana
1 black
1 jar

4 motoro rays

3 datanoids
3 clown knives

You think the iridescents will work with this group? Even when they (iridescents) are full grown?

Yeah I heard they can be aggressive at times, guess can scratch him off the list.

IDS are timid, very peaceful, nervous fish so you just need to worry that they are big enough not to be easily harrassed or even preyed upon.

Jardini may be ok in a large pond with other non-jardini and non-arowana fish. But it's a gamble IMO, so Plan B and C should be in place.

Many aros together often also works for silvers and asians, like at least a dozen, not so sure if a jardini or leitchardi were to be thrown in the mix. One - yes, it has been done. But more than one, even diluted by a bunch of other aros - IDK.
 
Was wondering what you were putting in there. Aside from the jar the list sounds fine, as long as your ok with the motoros possibly having some of them for dinner. The clown knifes as long as they are big, or the motoros are small, should be fine. I kept them with rays for a long time and except for a few smaller ones they were all fine. Datanoids will be the same thing, if they are big enough compared to the rays then the rays will probably leave them alone. 4" sharks will be dinner for anything other than pups, actually had a couple of those get eaten.

I assume your adding a lid, a friend of mine tried putting a silver arrowana in a 2500G version of that pond and he jumped out within a week.
 
Thanks for the awesome pond forgot to mention the aro's in the pm yeah going to figure some type of acrylic lid. The jars are off the list like that they are the closest to the asain aro that can get but may need to do them some other time.

The cats will be fine in that mix, like mentioned above they are shy so good swimming space is required to ensure they aren't darting into glass.

The size is always a common sense thing, make sure there is nothing too large to just eat the ID sharks and that there is nothing too small that they can eat.
