Anyone keeping them?
Anyone have some large ones?

What's the biggest/oldest anyone's seen?

The largest one that I have ever seen live was about half a year ago when I was working in this one fish store and one of our regular customers asked if he can bring in some fish that are just to big for his tanks. From a whole bunch of fish that he did bring in, there were 2 Iridescent Sharks at about 18" each.

There's one at this place in Maryland right off 270, and they have a HUGE CICHLID TANK.
There's is probably 15" at least.
I'm bad at guesstimating.

I'm kinda curious about life span. I've got 2 that are an easy 18" and 22" and they're about 14 years old now. Both are strong as an ox. Few months back I had a big red hook siver dollar peel the big ones scalp off, about 3" square section. 3 days later it was like it never happened.

I just got back from the shop. I was after some Tilapia fillets to give them a try. They had sold out but they had some river cobbler. River what? She said it was nice and gave us two fillets. I was walking how wandering what they were, when I found in tiny writing on the tag Pagasius Hypophthalmus... Thats some type of catfish isnt it? Just googled...you guessed it...
