never kept them myself but seen them many times keep in mind this fish gets much bigger then petsmart would have you believe they can get to around 3 feet eazy for more info go to planetcatfish.com

my LFS has 2 huge albino id sharks one is about 38" at 34 years old and another that is about 26" but i dont know the age on that one.

captive fish don't get as big but can i've seen a few 28''+ in my time but you'll never see those 4 foot IDs in aquariums

I have had one of these fishes for a year. When i got it, it was less then 2", now it is 7" long. Now it lives in 86 g tank and i am going to get bigger one soon. I like this fish a lot, it looks like shark and is really cool. It is not so nervous as i haved read from the internet. Maybe i am just lucky.

i will see if i can get some pictures tonight of the id sharks they are in a 1500 gallon tank i think with a couple pacu, oscars and a few marble cats.

Mine arent that smart either. Skittish as hell, afriad to touch anything. My balas look at them and shake there heads. Atleast they are normal

Well I can confirm they taste good... I see why they farm them so much now!
