I just ordered some Red Cherry Shrimp hoping to breed them and was wondering if anyone has ever used a Plant additive with the RCS's? I know copper will kill them, but is iron ok? I have a few live plants in a 20 long with 80 watts of light overhead. I was thinking of adding some liquid plant food tonight. The shrimp will be arriving in 24 hours.

should be fine they are kept in planted tanks all the time .

Thanks guys. Just wanted to be on the safe side. Those little shrimp are expensive little guys. Anyone ever breed them? I am kinda curious as to how fast they will reproduce.

filter feeders are the only shrimp negatively effected by plant food (i think)

Just don't overdose on Flourish Excel. It can and will kill them.
That is all relevant. Excel can be dose in far above recommended doses. I have used up to a 5 times dosage in tanks with fish, and shrimp.
