I miss my iridescent. First fish I ever got. The LFS guy didn't tell me how huge he got, not how spooked he would get, nor how fast he would swim into the side of the glass, or anything of the sort.

But you don't expect anyway that the lfs employees would really help you correctly.

The average pool volume around my way is roughly 15,000 G's. Ididescent sharks need a footprint of 12x5ft minimum.

Well, there are a couple at my local PetCo that actually know what they're doing.

There's another truly local fish store around, but it's 20-30 miles from me. It's a combination Saltwater Fish store and Convenience store. No, I'm not kidding. Even so, the guys are extremely knowledgeable, so I've used them for salties before.

But overall, I try to do my research when I can. Still, sometimes I see a fish that just looks neat and I want it, so it's nice to have the information there while I'm in the store.
