i was walking from school back to my appt from school today, and i decided to walk along the sides and look in the bushes for black racers, and to my surprise i saw the biggest anole ever......... anole???...... no.... an IGUANA!!!!

it was about 1 1/2 ft long, so just a small one, it ran from the sidewalk to the grass, bobbed its head and ran into the bushes, theyre way to fast

its gotta be an escaped pet as they are NO WHERE NEAR this far up florida, and it would definitely die in winter

do they sleep in bushes?? or should i check the small tree next to the sidewalk??

will it stay in one place?? or move around??

I had the same experience. I was at the lake for a weekend and came home to find an igunana about the same size basking in the sun on a car tire. Bought a 75gallon tank, accesories and what not. Kept it for about 6 months and gave it to a pet store. Found out it was the peoples behind us. They just let it go b/c they didn't wan it. HORRIBLE!!!

When I worked at the Columbus Zoo for a little while, they had a sav named Oscar that someone brought to them after they found him on a golf course. I also heard about a gator being found on another Ohio golf course

i would say try to trap him, and take him home, or give it to someone that want it

What you have to do is keep that area in vigilance and wait he comes out;) Do you know how to cach a lizard with a snare? Or wait untill nigth falls and he is yours for the taking
