Irridescent Shark Aquarium setup

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Just an update. Mine are still swimming in the corner. We'll see how they react to the new home in the next couple of weeks. Picked up a 300g for em.

Should have plenty of room for these guys to grow and thrive. Gonna pick up 5 albino pangasius to add , to make the school 10 for now while growing up. Will upgrade when needed obviously. But these dimensions should last for atleast a year.

Will post some shots when it's setup.

okay i had this problem a while ago, no matter how large i increased the size of there shoal or what i did to the lighting or changed the water change scedule it ddnt change. so what i did eventually;
used RO water for there aquarium like i do for my more sensitive species, planted the tank quite heavily in both corners coming to the sides and added some to back. also i did two 20% water changes a week and kept my nitrate at -10ppm at all times also check your ph and dh something mite be out of line that you dont know about. but in general they like sand substrates as they are scaleless and very prone to ich. plant corners to hide any areas that look like more water. (that is not actually more water) and also keep a real eye on there feeding schedule they are a very active fish and need regular feeding twice a day with a mixture of foods also keep the current high in your aquarium similar to that of a reef but with less velocity.
