Brand new, glass tops, reef ready with all fittings(bulkheads etc)

without tax

thats actually IMO not to bad. Considering were im from a new AGA 125RR will run almost 600 flatt. Again I think A LOT has to do with location though.

I got my 90 gallon for 900 bucks...(with stand and canopy) Go for it!

i also put adds in craigslist for a 125-180 gallon, my mom said if i can find anything above 125 used, i can get that(but not above 180). So far i've gotten a guy selling his 125 gallon complete reef with tons of halides and nice filtration, about 200 lbs of LR, but he wants 3k so thats out. Another person has a 180 with tops, two heaters, and two 36" strip lights for $450, im thinking about this one, but its not reef ready. i guess i could get like a fluval fx5, two ac110, and a skimmer.

It really depends on location and timing imo.
For example, I sold my 220 which was next to new condition, drilled w/bulkheads, and I threw in a 55 w/pump for sump, for only 700 in december, and it still took me a few weeks to get a buyer. With that said, you as the buyer, are more in control, as it seems to have shifted more to a buyers market right now, and if I were you, I'd go used, as I've seen some really good deals recently, at least by me, because thre are quite a few people who just can't afford the upkeep right now, and are getting rid of them for real cheap.

i live in a horrible location for buying used stuff, i might get it still. How much would it be to get the back drilled? any risk of cracking, etc?

I can buy 125s breand new for $350. that price seems high.

A brand new 125g drilled with overflows is only $400 at the store by me. But that could just be location difference. I'm glad they don't cost over $600 here or I wouldn't have gotten one.

Good luck finding a tank. Craigslist is going to be your best friend here.
