alzheimer's is a real ***** is in it... I guess only people that will ever have big tanks are the ones that have them now... I guess spending over 120 dollars on scrubys 4 my wet dry system makes me into some kind of welfare case.... I can almost guarantee you don't know anybody that does what I do for living..

This is the post i was referring to but there are some more on other threads

Peterp63, its comments like that that really turn up the heat in otherwise positive threads. Please man, for the good of the forum, drop your old grudges, and let's get back to neutral at least so we can enjoy ourselves and foster new members in the hobby and forum.

You're right. I'll stop. You met the guy in person... he alluded to the fact that you fine folks wanna adopt him. We'll take his word that he's a good guy. Just doesn't really show in his posts... I'll give him another chance. :)

we are not forgetting because we are not dumb. I think the point has been made plenty of times.. I have also said more than 1 that this is just a temporary thing for my rays... from 6 months to a year I will be getting a house with my girlfriend and I will be building a 10 foot long by 7 foot deep by 5 foot high tank.....

I took you off because I thought you where banned for good. I see no reason why if things remain civil I should have to put you back on.

what i am doing is trying to show people that a 4" ray in a 125 is fine.

if i take my 4" ray and times it by 3 its 12.
if i do the same with my 125 its 375.
which is fine for a 12" ray

if i take my 4" ray and times it by 2..thats 8,
if take my 125g and times it by 2 thats 250..which is fine for a 8" ray.

so...why in the hell is a 125g tank with a 55g sump to small for a 4" ray.

its not..its fine..damn near perfect for what i plan on doing.

so i am basically taking what everyone is saying and proving that what i am doing is ok.

so, again, thank everyone for their opinions.

I must say, though, that this rationale is pretty poor. Do you really think two 4" rays produce the same amount of waste as an 8" ray or three 4" rays produce the same amount of waste as a 12" ray?? Or require the same amount of tankage????? Really don't think so.... not being mean, but this thread just seems silly.
