There are great many threads in the DIY section on plywood tanks. How many have you read and which ones?

It is always a gamble and the greatest unknown is the leak-free longevity that's most usually not reported. There are many good builds but what happens 1, 2, 5, 10 years down the road?

wednesday13 wednesday13 got one that's been running 5+ years now - he has a nice build thread on it - you can start there. At least Wednesday is around and is always very helpful. Very handy himself too.
 
From what I have read, silicone does not work well with acrylic. How do you plan to seal the display panel?
 
Not sure how an aquarium is ever too big.
