Probably a year or two

That's rubbish! 28" Jardini can't eat a 12" Oscar....
his mouth as alot bigger then the other fish that he had him with and they were longer then 12" a grown Jardini is alot taller and thicker then your thinking full grown and i dont believe a man that has owned a fish store for 35 years is gonna make up a story and i really dislike that people on here jump at the chance to be disrespectful to someone if you dont have anything nice to say keep it to your self

Do you have any idea how tall and how big a 12" oscar? I currently have three 28"-32" silver arowana, used to have a 24"-26" Jardini, so I know how big is their mouth. It's not about disrespect or say something nice... Misinformation is rubbish! He may not make up a story, but he may exaggerate. It's common with human...

it's right, 28'' Jar can not swallow a 12'' oscar without death ! a 12'' oscar can be taller than a 28'' jar and weigh up to 3 pounds(maybe more) !

Ask a question by yourself? Will you be able to change your tank for about 6-12 months? If not, do NOT buy Arowana. If you build the stand for 90 gal ? I don't think that you will be able to build next stand for 6 months...
This is a waste your many. Changing for smaller to bigger will cost you almost twice more than buy a 220gal or little more. Look on MFK Market Place, there are many of tanks bigger than 180 gal. that you can buy for a very good price, often with stand etc.

Do not waste your money and buy bigger tank, that your Arowana can live there much longer and better...

GL !

Yes yes, we know you've seen it all. 4' silvers, DE cures, 12 year old jars, 28"ers swallowing 12" oscars. We get it, you can cut the crap now. Honestly...

Wait, did somebody actually believe that a 28" jardini swallowed a 12" oscar? awesome thread
