Is a fx5 large enough??

I think you guys are right. I don't see any reason not to use both. I guess I just had a moment of laziness thinking it would be easier to only set up one lol.

if i had 2 fx5s I would use them! I have a a 120 48x24x24 that is heavily stocked and i only have a 180 gallon canister filter (API xp3 "large"... most fish are babies so no prboblem yet... when they get bigger i will have to do TONS of WCs... for know 20-30% a week but when they are alll full grown i will be doing 1-2 50% Wcs a week... if i had your filtration i could be doing 1 25% a week...

I run one fx5 on my 110g, but it is lightly stocked--5 red sevrums and a small turtle. It is hard plumbed and a the return has a flow accelerator on it. They are great.

Doesn't sound lightly stocked..

Not a heavy stock, i think it is an avrage stock...definitly not light...
