i was wondering if everyone thinks this combo would work if not give me some suggestions.

1-salvini
1-rainbow cichlids
1-pleco
2- yoyo loach
1or2- herichthyes labridens
2- convicts
is a ok combination

I would remove the salvini and the regular Jack Dempsey. Electric blue jacks are not that agressive, also no convicts. Unless you want a more agrresive tank. The rainbows are mildly aggressive along with the ebjd's Convicts salvini and regular jacks are very aggressive.

but i post on the EBJD forum and most people say how there EB's kick the crap out of the JD's

yeh its just a roomer, well thats what i was told on the EBJD forum and im sure if anyone knows, they will on there.
Well I don't ever recommend ever keeping the same species of aggressive fish in the same tank like two JD's but an exception is a bonded pair. Even still you will be limited if a pair forms on what fish you can keep in there with them. Rainbow WILL get beat on by the Salvini without a doubt in my mind. Salvini are not like cons. Yes cons are aggressive but no where near Salvini. All my salvini ( 4 males) Beat down anything. When one was 4-5 inch he beat down a 10" motaguense and killed him so... But they are more territorial but once a fish crosses the territory line Salvini just go nuts on them. I say

a couple cons no problem because they could definately hold their own.
and MAYBE an EBJD.
There are other fish out there too. I am sure you probably want to just go to the Store and buy whats common because you have easy access but there are 1,000's of cichlids to choose from so I would reccommend looking around a bit before committing. A great place to get some good rarer cichlids is Jeff Rapps at Tangledupincichlids.com hey you might find something else that catches your eye.
