So I was walking around lowes looking at wood and stuff for the tank stand im going to start building this weekend for my 240 gallon I just got. It is going to have a 45 gallon sump and a fx5. I have been looking around at pumps to use in the sump. I want it to pump around 1200 gph at around a 6 foot head. Well anyway, I saw this pump on sale for 60 bucks at lowes and I was wondering if it was safe to use in the sump. Is it aquarium safe? All of the pumps I have been looking at on thatpetplace.com and drfostersmith.com and other aquatic websites that are powerful enough to pump what im looking for are running around $120 and up. So this would save me alot of money if I can use this one. However, it is a bit big, but i can deal with that.
