Is algae harmful to arowanas?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
it's is not alway to high nithtrades , to much light or too long light might have a start for algea

i heave algea my background is fulof algea , the nice green one wich makes it looks natural and don't forget algea is olso a plant.

I see no problem with those algaes...keep up with the wc regularly, to take out phosphate and nitrates and you should be fine.

Aro won't be hurt by algae, per se

I say just clean your tank and do a 20% water change.....hey, water changes are always a good idea....algae might not hurt....neither, is a clean as well. ;)

I think your algae is green spot algae. They're hard to remove from the glass usually. No harm done on your fish though.

dude plecos can suck on your fishes coat slimes
Maybe but that is not always the case. It depends on the dietary regimen you are providing your fish.

Most LFS do not recommend pleco, 1 LFS is pro man lol i bought 1 RTG, 1 Gold arowana from them and a stringray fresh water 1 i bought many fish =D

it won't hurt the aro, but you shouldn't have too much of it.. plecs usually don't suck slime off of fish that move a lot, like dats and aros. if you want a cool fish that eats algae, get a flagtail. of course, there are a lot of cool plecs, but they don't eat that much algae, esp as they age
