I recently purchased some non-colour changing mix bed resin from brs; but i got to thinking - is all mixed bed resin the same with regards to effectiveness ? Hence this post - how do i find good but cheap di resin?
Background - i use a lot of water on a weekly basis - around 900-1000 gallon weekly of RO water. So i'd like the material to be efficient. Right now the 300 gpd ro system i have produces around 4-5 tds water pre di stage. While i don't have to have 0 tds i'd like it to be ~2-3 tds (which i can achieve) but i don't want to burn through di resin (which requires more work).
On a side note is 10 micron or 5 micron sentiment filter better (tap water tds is 140 and the ro system is nearly 1:1 as measured).
