and which ones might you be referring to? fish like SRT's, RBK's, RM's, RQ's etc arent true flowerhorns, they are merely hybrids that are enhanced and bred by the flowerhorn hobbiest, all the true flowerhorns like Kamfa, Zhen Zhu, Tan King, King Kamfa, Zhen Zhu Malau, Gold Monkey etc ALL have trimac.

and since when was there an official criteria for FH? kamfa is produced by crossing zz to kkp and kkp is already considered a hybrid and yet kamfa is still considered as FH. a hybrid cross to a hybrid, so what gives you the idea that SRTs and othere are not FH

the Staple was the trimaculatus as seen in the in plums” = 100% WRONG. Ah Cheah and Ah Meng started crossing 4 large Cichlids way back eighties. These were the Lou Han which was the father of the Hua Luo Han. Some of these were the Rein Mien and the Chai Shen. NONE looked like the Trimac.

Yes you can have 2 filters on a 20 gal tank... although a 20 gal tank is small for 2 FlowerHorns even while young (they won't stay small for long).

In order to say “this one is a FH and this one is not.” You have to be able to give a definition of what a FH is… but there is no definition to this word… It’s just a pretty word that sounded like it applied to these new undefined fish people made a dozen or two years ago… Since the fish were not defined neither was the term…

By now FlowerHorns are so common and there is no single point of authority regarding them it’s pretty much too late to back pedal and assign this random term a definition.

A term without a definition… it’s like a fish without a home…

no he cant lol. i talked to this guy on YM and apparently the 2 filter he was talking about comes with 1 pump each.

thats what i was trying to say cause it didnt make sense to me when he said that SRTs and others are not "true FH" i mean even the top breeder have not set any standard for this matter.

Kamfa = Flowerhorn (come from the wrap tail and big head)

ZZ = Pearl Luohan (pearl scale)

today.. all of them considered a FH..
